I like the subject of the photo. It would have more impact if there was only 1 one biker, or even better, if the 2nd one was farther apart to better define both. The BW conversion is not that exciting for me, I think I would like to see it in Color. These are fun to do ...
yeah i'm completely agree with that separation, maybe i'll try next time; but, in reality, im quite scared to be hit by those raiders & i have to take the pict as quick as possible >.<
ok, i'll upload the original image (maybe next 48hours, the data is in my home PC ^^ )
You might also want to try posting this and other sports photos on our Sports Photography Forum - especially if you want technical advice for shooting sports. I agree with everyone else about separating the two riders more. There are a few ways you could do it. One would be to use a larger aperture for shallower depth-of-field. Your background isn't too soft so I assume you're stopped down a bit. The other way is to shoot straight on, from a distance with a telephoto lens. That's how I would probably have shot this. The other benefit of a long lens is you can get the straight shot from down the track without any danger of getting hit.
The look on the one rider's face does make the shot - even if the two riders are a bit mixed up. I can see why you like this photo

My critique would be on the treatment. The image doesn't quite fit the aged effect, but I can't blame you for wanting to workout some of Nik's effects...I'm a big fan of their stuff.
mostly Nikon gear
Feel free to edit my images for critique, just let me know what you did.
Great capture, I like the frozen motion.
perhaps you can try some panning this way the sharpness will be on one riders this can take care of the separation which I too, agree is needed unless they running into each other .
I agree with the separation.
You could also have shot from lower and put the foreground photographer higher in the image.
But if you're not shooting with a telephoto and they're getting close, getting away might be hard!
Do you have a remote release?
On a low tripod by the track you might get a great image.
I also think the BW conversion lacks something, there's no peak white in the image only greys.
I really lik that you've got their eyes in the image, that's a key thing for me seeing the expression.
sorry for very long time response, I was very busy
this is the colored image, a little bit over-exposure I think & not sharp enough...
thanks very much for those advices, it's my first time in sport photography
I haven't any zoom lens yet, I got only my 'default' nikkor lens 18-105mm..
