    Flying Machine

Another from Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum.
I normally don't care for vignetting, but I think it worked well on this one..

    Hey snoid,

What a shot Friend. Thank you very much for sharing. I think little bit dark here around the picture. You can give it some brightness. Over all a great shot..
Look and think before opening the shutter. The heart and mind are the true lens of the camera.

Hi Snoid...Very nice!! I agree, the vignetting is well done. And the bokeh is very nice. But I do agree. It is a little dark. Some of the fine detail gets lost in the shadows.
    Strong photo, tho!!!

    Thanks for the comments.
It seems to have darkened and flattened a bit in posting.
I've been thinking about printing this one, so I might need to do a bit more tweaking.
I don't like the brightness of the #5 in the circle behind his head.
It's in a glass case and I used the vignette to help cover that.

.Great find snoid..I really like the fact it's in a glass case, there is a wonderful antique glass optical effect. The vignette is nicely done...Very clean low light work.As mentioned w / minor tweaks, this is a print.

    Re: Flying Machine

Great shot snoid! I'm the opposite of you in a sense, I actually love vignetting and use it as much as humanly possible. I don't create the perfectly circular vignette, but rather a custom tailored vignette with gradients in varying blending types. This however, I think is a bit too strong of a vignette, I think it could be tamed down a bit. As a nit-pick, I'd also like the background to be a bit softer, but I think it works well as is.
