    Flying colours

Model remote controlled aeroplanes covered in LEDs, not the most elegant patterns that I captured that night but certainly the largest number (approximately 5 aeroplanes in the image). Would liked to have included a static object in the foreground but this is what I came away with.

    ISO 250, Shutter speed 13, Aperture 6.3.

    Many thanks

    Herriot,

Though, as with your water shot, there are some spots that are very overexposed (ie. lower/mid left). I love this shot, but maybe a little burning just to reduce the harsh hot spots.

    Well done and great idea,

    Jared

Herriot....very interesting catch. Without looking at your description of the shot, I found myself wondering what kind of flying object was leaving the light trails. Very unique-I like it.

    Herriot,

This is a really interesting picture. Definitely something I would have tried to do myself. Must have been a fun night! The light pollution on the ground seems to be competing with your trails from the planes and I think you are right that a foreground object would have made this stronger but I think the effect is still really neat! Glad you shared this one!!

Interesting capture. If the whole scene were exposed less, it would have made the light trails more prominent, perhaps. I used to fly remote control planes as well, but never at night. Looks like a fun evening.

I could have sworn I responded to this the first time.

Superb - makes me want to get a model airplane.

Why ISO 250? you only need 50 at night.
