As I was scrolling down I at first didn't see the crowd, and thought it looked neat. Try cropping out the people and just leave the building tops. I would also clone stamp the over hangs of the buildings on the right side. I love the angle of the shot....

The tilt works on the top part Roger. It give the planes a nice angle, but I'm don't think it does in the bottom. The tension of the tilted people is too strong to concentrate on the shot IMO. I would love to see a straight version of this if you shot another. This one here is hurting my neck

or, if you want to keep the people and the planes for the hill effect, crop a little from the left and some off the bottom, it would look nice

Roger, I feel what Liban is saying, but it does not bother me to be detrimental to the image. I like the tilt and feel it brings a new, and interesting take to what might have been a same old scene. I agree with one comment about cloning out the piece of roof coming in on the right. I might have wanted to bring out a little more detail, and less contrast in the crowd area. This is a good photo, Roger.

    Re: Fly past

    Hi all,

    Thanks for all the comments.

Greg, Liban, Chris - I see what your saying but personally believe that the crowd is important for this shot, but understand where your coming from. I have cloned out the roofs (how did I miss those?).

Gary - spotted my problem with this photo which is the contrast with the people who were competing for the shot which may alleviate everyone else's concerns about the crowd.

So here it is re-worked so that the contrast in the people has been toned down and the roof overhangs cloned out. (Still can't believe I missed them!)

    The question to all is:
Did I go far enough with the contrast and does it answer the concerns over the crowd over powering the shot?

Actually yes Roger. I find it more pleasant now. Sorry I didn't think that was what was causing the tension, but looking at it now, it was a big part of it. It's much more easier to enjoy now.

And don't worry about the roofs. I didn't see those either till now.
