    Re: Flowers for you!

While I think it's a very cool idea, the reason it doesn't work for me (and I'm convinced it's because I have bad eyesight) is because your babygirl takes up so much of the frame and is out of focus. I think if the flowers were bigger in the picture, more prominently displayed, that my eyes wouldn't feel like they needed to keep refocusing. Other than that, I think it's great. When I scroll down so that I have less "out of focus" in the frame, my eyes feel more comfortable. Just MHO.

I know what you mean. After I had taken it I wish I had got her to hold the flowers a little higher. Oh well, you live and learn dont ya?

Thank you for taking the time to comment dbutler.

I actually had this one printed in a 10x8 along with a daffodil pic, also in a 10x8, and donated them both to the Hospital where I took these images.
They are going to hang them in the day room for the patients to enjoy.

Alison, I like it and I think that it works overall. Obviously you have a very photogrenic subject (!) which helps but you have composed this well and I don't think that your daughter is taking up too much of the frame at all, infact, I would suggest that it is spot on. My only suggestion would be that next time you ask her to hold flowerrs that are a different colour to that of her jacket.

    Thanks for sharing
