    Flowers anyone?

I decided that I would be a nice guy and buy my wife some flowers. Of course, I had other motives as well, such as wanting to get some still life photos of flowers.

Here is one of my favorites that I took. Turned Black & White using the Optikverve Labs plug in, and some slight dodgin/burning

That is very pretty.........and what a good husband.....even with an alterior motive!
My only critique would be that I would like to see all of the front petal of the flower. Other then that, I really like it. Good Job!

Amazing black and white tones here...very rich and bold. I love it. The shot is perfect and crisp, and having the contrasting texture in the background is the perfect addition to this. The crop is a little tight for me, just because some of the petals get cut off, but other than that, superb. Definately my favourite in a while.

    Great job,

    Jared

    Re: Flowers anyone?

Thanks! I have a few more that I'm slowly workin on. I've been experimenting & am taking a class on lighting products, and we have a restriction that we can only use 1 light & as many reflectors as we want. For this shot I had my light to the right of the subject with an umbrella softbox on it, with a gold reflector on the opposite side.

Since I still have the flowers, I'm gonna try and go back and re shoot it, and see what else I can come up with.
