Snapped this at the National Zoo in DC yesterday with the full intention of trying an Orton Effect on it. Did I pull it off?

I like this shot. I think it's a good subject for Orton and it definitely has that dreamy look to it. I'm not sure my monitor is calibrated right, but the color looks a little too orange to me.

I'm sure it's my monitor. They're a nice yellow on my uncalibrated laptop screen. I used an Orton script in Gimp and it totally blew the saturation way out. I had to back the sharp layer off a bit. I need to get this thing calibrated.
