I like the lighting on the flower, but I think that you are lacking light on the lower part of it if you keep the wide shot. I think that if you crop it in so that just a bit of the lower part shows, you'll make the flower itself pop that much more...
I like the inconsistent lighting, it makes it a unique flower shot, not just more of the same

focal point seems to be on the leaf. Needs more dof or focal point on the flower center.
I have a thing about stuff leading off frame like the leaf is doing.

Hmmm. I not sure on the lighting, have you tried uping the contrast a bit ?
I'm just thinking if you want to add some real unbalanced lighting mood and at the same time give a bit of a glossy look, you might want to play around with the contrast.
