My eye goes straight to the background though so I might have liked a slightly different vantage point. Perhaps one with more "path" and less "golf course".

I hear ya Loupey. I was on an aisle seat, and it was a quick turnaround and click. As it was my first time really trying a wedding shoot, I learned quite a bit about positioning. I didn't want to interfere with the wedding photographer, so I got my shots when and where I could. All I know is, there's no way I'd want to do this for a living.
