They both suffer from a lack of overall color and detail in the buildings.

I'm afraid the ponte vecchio is too dark. Never meter the sun, as it will give you false readings.

    I like the top one.
The sunset and the reflections on the water work very well.
I would keep it like it is.

    Re: Florence Sunset

Think that the exposure value is a matter of taste. I like it the way that it is but agree that it would be nice to have a little more detail in the bridge and buildings. Perhaps some PS work would get a little more detail without destroying the integrity of the sunset sky. My main nit on the first one is it appears to need a bit of CW rotation to straighten the horizon. It is a beautiful city to wander around with a camera in. I only wish I had made the switch to digital before my trip to Florence and I would have a great many more images of the city and the wonderful countryside around it.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

The top on is the best as the bottom you can't see under the bridges mainly the reflection of the sun. I would of up the saturation a little to bring out more of the colors of the sunset. As far as the exposure it looks good to me for a sunset.

I like the idea behind the picture, but seems a bit dark.
You should try HDR, you would be able to see the sunset and coulds, as well as the buildings.
