    Florence Italy..

Digging out a few old shots. Taken from one of the bridges (can't remember which) over the Arno river in Florence. The colors were really working overtime that evening. Taken on Kodachrome 64. Maybe a tad bit underexposed?

Maybe a tad, have you tried bringing out the shadow details at least in the bridge just a little bit?

    Re: Florence Italy..

I seriously took something like 50 shots off the Ponte Vecchio and not a single one was worthy of so much as a "what not to do". This is a tough shot. So, I think you did a fabulous job. If you can get more detail out of it, I say go for it, but knowing how tricky the Arno and it's bridges are, I still think this is a wonderful image.

    Re: Florence Italy..

Thanks for commenting. CL, no, this is the farthest I've gone on it... it was pretty underexposed (I think I used my camera's exp meter and reciprocity failure reared it's ugly head). Maybe I will try some more... it is a pretty shot. D, I agree, it's sometimes difficult to shoot a popular place and get it as good as we'd expect. The lighting has a lot to do with it. This isn't the Ponte Vecchio or at least I don't think it is... If I recall, the Ponte Vecchio is multi-leveled with stores etc on board. But I might have shot this from the Ponte - been too long to say for sure. This was taken in '85!

I meant to add that I just love the evening sky colors from that night in '85.
