    Florence Blue Hour

This shot was taken in Florence, Italy at blue hour. It's a photo stitch of two shots. I'm so addicted to this blue hour photography. I can't be doing anything but shooting at that time of night.

    Re: Florence Blue Hour

Another very pleasing image from Florence from you! It's a terrifically photogenic city and I think you have done it justice. I have seen zillions of photos from Florence but I don't think I have seen this particular take on it before - that's good. It's especially good that you have some light in the sky - as you know, the problem with a lot of night shots is that the sky is too dark. You have avoided that very nicely. I suppose you could argue that, maybe, you have a little too much saturation there - but that is a matter of taste I think and overall it's a pleasing image.

I think it would have been better if you had taken the shot just a little earier with More detail in the river banks and the reflecting lights not so intense.

    Re: Florence Blue Hour

    Thanks for the comments guys!

Mike, yeah i think i'm gonna hear about the saturation on the majority of my images from this trip. My camera was set to vivid for about 80-90% of the time, The only time I had it set back to normal was when I was shooting people. Yeah, Really late night photography is a different animal. I like the blue hour, about 30 minutes after sun set when there's still some light lingering. if one opens up the shutter for a couple of seconds then that's when to get the bluest skies possible. thanks

Danic, thanks , oh there are more to come

Greg, I thought that too, about the intensity of the light. it was a give and take, if I didn't expose them as such the sky would've been darker. thank u.

Dunno, I really like the "punch" of the hard lighting and the way the yellow building on the left jumps out. Nice stitching job too!
