FLOOD? WHAT flood?

Kalamazoo was hit last weekend with fallout from IKE, which dumped 10 or so inches of rain on the area. Several areas of the city were severely flooded. I was out this past Wednesday taking pics of some of the hard hit areas, and stumbled across this. Ironically, there was no water near this home.

Maybe they thought someone floating by could borrow them if the water got that high.
Or maybe they wanted to save the tree?
