    flag and tombstone

    ... I think it could have benefitted from a more muted (light and distraction) background,,,but I like th overall feel of this ...input please...likes dislikes...likie--- no likie... taken with my point and shoot last weekend. converted to sepia from BW

    Hey Natalie,
    I think your right about it benefiting from a more muted bg. I like the idea here and it has good feel to it. I don't think I like the sepia tone for this. Would like to see this in B&W.

    I think B&W would be the way to go with this, I like the shot, but to bright in the background. I like where you were going with this. I took the liberty of playing with this a bit, see what you think, I cut down on the backlighting, and added some flash.

    Good shot, but the background is distracting.
    Sepia is for me something like "old", "going back in time", reason why would rather prefer B&W in this one.

    Agree and disagree

    I agree that the background is a little bright and somewhat distracting. But instead of cropping it out or muting it, how about a low flash on the flag? It would bring the white in the stripes up to the level of the background while keeping the contrast of the dark tombstone. I wasn't there, so I don't know if that was possible. I like the pic.
