One of the many shots I took on Flag day this year, tought this one had someting in it worth pulling out. Think the old vet and the young scout croped somhow.

What do you guys think?

I like the cropped version, takes out the extra stuff in the background that doesn't really agree with the rest. Nice color. Had the vet been looking forward as well, that would have been nice. I like how they're both holding something in a similar way, brings them together.

Your cropping idea is good but I would leave more room at the top and show the veteran's hat at the top of this picture. The way you have it seems too tight.

Nice shot IMO. I like the idea of some slight adjustments here, but think that your crop may have gone too far. Hope you don't mind but I tried one myself - what do you think? Might be nice as a black and white too

No I don't mind. So you think leaving more at the bottom would be better?
