First try at product style photog....

Well, I just wanted to give it a shot. Hope you all can see the contrast in subject with the DV cam in the back and the 8mm in the foreground.

I wanted to get all into the macro but I think it hurt more than helped. The old camera is not in full focus. Was not my intention....

    Canon 30D
    50mm f/1.8 lens
    ISO 200

Please give your critique...I would like to improve this type of photography for myself.

Interesting shot, but the DOF is too shallow to portray the difference between old and new. Though the potential is great for this shot, the juxtaposition is set up great, the shallow DOF made the newer camera on first glance appear to be a nuisance instead of adding to the overall affect. I would increase the DOF or maybe place the newer cam closer to your original subject. Love the colors, and the tones you have on the first shot are great.

Should be an easy reshoot, can't wait to see how it turns out.
