    First try at panning !
    Hi ,

    This is my first try with the panning technique .
    Please feel free to criticise as much as you can , and please tell me also what i can do to get a better photo using the panning technique .

    Pretty good job. The shadow is a little distracting. If you had waited until your subject was out of the shadow I think it would have been better.

    Looks good from here. Did you try any slower shutter speeds?

    hehe, well it definitely worked, ill try and pull up my faveourite panning image to show you a great example of it. I feel that a more direct shot of the bike approaching you while panning would capture the motion alot more.

    I think this is a great first attempt at panning. the backgroud is slightly blurred, the subjects face is in focus, you can't see the spokes and you see a bit a blur in the foot cause by the pedaling... Now just play with the shutter speed a little more... and different angles... Also if you work with your DOF you can get the backgroud even more blurred..

    Looks good. As Chunk suggests, have you tried a longer shutter?

    Thank you for your comments ,

    I did not play much with the shutter speed . Will do so next time . I will try a bit slower shutter speed as well .
