First Trip out with the Fish

Thank you all for your help and comments on my other thread. I'm still playing with a variety of plugins for straightening out the images (right now, I really am enjoying PTLens and and Lens Corrector PRO (Both of which are really going to help me out with corrections REGARDLESS as to what lens I use! Why didn't any of you tell me about these sooner???)

Anyway, here are my second set of practice shots.

    1) My hairdresser's
    2) Severe bend in a lamp post
    3) Playing with the sun, since it has become apparent that I may not always be able to get away from it when shooting with this crazy thing
    4) The pudgy fountain

Looks like you've discovered the joys of the fishbowl D! Have fun and keep shooting. I like your hairdresser's ceiling pic the best. Truthfully I didn't know about those correction programs but it's good to know they're out there.

    D,

What is an English phone box doing in North Carolina? with Man United on it? This is real bad taste.

Not sure about fish eye photography and never really been interested in it, but I do like some of the images here, I think the best is the hairdressers?

Looks like you are having a lot of fun. I've never been able to play with a fisheye so I envy you.
Get that thing up onto the Skyline Drive or Blue Ridge Parkway when the spring leaves get here.

Those are some really fun pictures, especially the first two. I use my 15mm fish on my Rebel XT from time to time but the crop is just so darn big on that body that you really don’t get these fun effects so much. I really enjoyed looking at your shots.

Thank you all for your input. I've just posted some others with some straightening to get some ideas on my approach in general. I really want to use this lens as strategically as possible so that I can grasp two worlds at once where possible.

D, the fisheye makes for some interesting effects, when used creatively, and you have done so in a few of these shots. i especially like the Hair slon and the Bent lampost.
