    First Test

Hoping for a better sunrise than this, I've been checking out this barn for weeks now. This morning showed some promise, but just a few too many clouds. The sunrise to the east was awesome, unfortunately it went above the cloud deck almost immediately without ever lighting the mountains. This barn has potential.

The colors are kinda strange, too blue and too green, I think because the white is bluish/greenish. I also see hallows around the mountains.

Yeah, I agree it might be a tad blueish. I thnk you might want to warm it up to get the sunrise feel.

the barn kinda melts with the surroundings in this. Not much of separation. if that's what you were aiming for then it's very good. i wish there was a bit more of a separation. I don't know how that could be achieved at this distance. anyways. good job and hopefully you'll nail it one of these days.

Yeah it is a good shot. Just try a slightly warmer white balance.

The morning was very cold color wise. I was trying to portray the cold light and feel of the morning, maybe I went a little too far.

I like it the way it is colorwise. I would like to see something in the foreground though. But that may be out of your control for the moment.

I actually like the mood of the cool colors ...I get that "cold morning" feel from this ...I guess to me white balance is "interpretable" - tweak it the way it speaks best to you (since you are the artist). Also, if you can get close enough, try some shots with the horses in the foreground ...it may prove interesting.

I ain't crazy about that angle. Maybe just a little more of the front of the barn if possible. This is a noble subject, the lighting was already mentioned.
