Question First Photos with D200, Whatcha all think?

Im new to the site and also to the DSLR world, I tool some Film SLR classes in school some 12 years ago. I am wanting to get back into photography but unfortunately I have alot to learn and re-learn. Here are a couple shots, let me know what you think. I have a D200 and have by far taken more BAD shots with it than good simply because I need to learn all of the settings.

Very well composed and crystal clear focus, you might try shooting is some softer light though.

Thanks for the comments, Yes the lighting was pretty rough! I was just excited to go out and try and use the camera so I took my wife and ran over to the park to snap a few shots. I am going to really enjoy getting back into photography!

Nikon's digitutors are pretty good if you haven't seen them. I found them quite helpful for my d80.
