First Photo Post - My "Work In Progress"

This is my '86 Toyota 4x4, I'm currently rebuilding her engine, right now she has a flat front passenger tire and is being held up by a bottle jack ut:

Anyway, without further adieu: (note: assuming I can get this to work how I'm intending lol )

well first of all ,its a nice truck, for what we can see of it, front and back is cut off, kind of a no-no when showing off the main subject, then again i suppose you don't want the plates shown, you could always clone them out, way too bright over the top, a wider angle would of been nicer,or even a side shot from front to back, putting the truck in the thirds of the shot, for compositional aspects, good luck on the rebuild, its a nice truck.

A lot of those around here so they must be pretty good off road vehicles.
polarbear is right. A photo should not chop off the front and back. You'll need a better background to really show her off, too.

Welcome to the board. I would agree with the others - clipping off the nose and tail of the truck does it no justice. The most interesting part is definitely the front btw. It's also a bit soft and the hood is too bright (blown out) to see anything. Calls for a reshoot.

Btw, not sure why I'd be worried about someone seeing my license plate numbers?

Definitely going to reshoot when the lighting is right; I totally agree w/ the top right 1/3 diagonal being blown out, and I'll change the angle a bit to include the front more and not chop off the back

Hah, yeah, I'm honestly not too worried about it, I was more just trying that angle/etc to see how it worked, thanks guys!
I am mainly here to learn, I'm pretty new at photography so please don't be afraid to say whatever you need to if you're critiquing my photos, and take my composition advice with an extra grain of salt
