Not bad at all for a first attempt. You have the flower head pretty sharp and as far as I can tell you've got the colour pretty accurate too. Also, you've not shot it on a contrasty day when shadows would have spoiled it. I've seen a lot worse so well done! The one small thing that distracts is the greenery which obscures part of the flower head at the bottom. Not sure what you could do about that though apart from trimming the greenery.
Sharp, good color, good dof. What I wish is you could get more creative with composition.
Not sure of the rest of the surroundings but maybe get lower as in ground level with the flower.
i like it, if Didache is talking about the bottom purple flowers partly being covered by the thick green leaves, that kinda' bugs me too.. not being able to see the whole lil' flowers hanging - but its a keeper.
The fly bit was a bit weird but it works
I'm finding myself agreeing with Frog more and more.... I would like to see a "ground level" shot of the flower - sort of a "bugs eye view". It is a nice photo and certainly worth keeping.

Thanks guys, I was thinking about ground level but there are landscaping timber and concrete
steps behind it and and my bokhe isn't good enough to take it away. maybe I should have used my 50m 1.8
Here is one without the fly and the bottom stem cropped out. Hope this is better
