First decent shot with DSLR. Please Help!

Hello, I am brand new to this forum and would love some C&C on this recent photo from Yellowstone. This is my first trip with a DSLR. It was borrowed but I would love to hear how to make it better with editing and also what I did right or wrong with the shot. Thanks so much in advanced. Tyler

Wow! You're so lucky to have gotten such a close shot! I can't wait to take a trip back to Yellowstone, and hopefully be as privileged to see some more wildlife.

I think it's a nice shot. I'd have cropped a little from the top and left side as the tree/shadow is a bit bothersome. But lovely capture.

This is a really great shot as far as the composition, but the thing that is most bothersome (to me) is the fact that the background is so incredibly close in color and tone. I do agree with Denise about the slight crop left and top, though.
