First Attempt At Photo Manipulation

Hi, this is my first first attempt to heavily edit one of my photos. I had to shots of the same location but one had better forground with the dog and the other had a better sky with richer colours and the moon. Any comments would be appreciated.

the minipulation worked, it looks natural i think. i'm just not crazy about the overall image. to pink

I agree, good job in splicing the two images together. But find a better time of day, it's just too hazy and flat.
