Well this is why you should get up early, do you ever get tired of hearing that? Beautiful line up , placement and colors, I predict big things for this print at the Eastern Market and beyond.
I do like the shot a lot but disagree about the rowers in the light. That beautiful wake would have been wasted and the whole lower portion of the image would have been with out any point of interest. With out the foreground objects it would have been just another ho-hum pretty sunrise photo, with the placement of the boat and the rowers however it becomes an exceptional image.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

I like this a lot. One minor point - on the right there is a tree, I would suggest cropping the tree out about halfway to the nearest shore if that makes sense.

I'm thinking folks reaction to the darkness at the bottom of the frame has more to do with the medium than the actual image. On my calibrated MAC there is plenty of detail and color in the 8 and the follow boat. And it is the right place in the frame to have them.
I have a series of about 10 as the boat moved towards me, this is #8 and as Goldilocks said, "Just right!"
MB - I'll have to go against the grain a little on this one, as I find the middle and bottom to be a little too devoid. I do like the rowers but find them way too small and dark. This one may also look better highly symmetric instead of titled as it is.
Sorry to be a tad negative .. It is different than most we see on this site, but I can't get past the void issue.

I like it as it is. My eye finds interest all the way through from the boaters to the ripples of the wake to the sunlit water to the city lights to the sky. Beautiful!
