    They look as if they are possibly a man eating species.

    Very nice composition and levels on the 1st. I'm not sure the small ant is a good or bad thing but it had me staring at it a while. Personally, I would clone it out as it is too small and might detract the viewer as it did me.

    The 2nd might need a crop or a straightening as it looks to be tilting (to me). Also a shallower DOF (as in the first) might help it.

    I honestly never even noticed the ant till you pointed it out.

    The second one is a lot more level than it looks because I took that laying down on top of a hill and you can't see the bank of the river. I might level it out so it doesn't look like it's crooked.
