Re: fire in the kitty litter

I think it would look cooler if you left the road in behind him.

it makes it look like he came speeding through a turn. it kind of makes you wonder whats on the left side, and why he spun out into the sand.

and maybe tint the white stripe on the bottom right to the same color blue, because I find that a bit distracting.

Re: fire in the kitty litter

I wondered about that, and thought it put the car too central.
Also I tihnk it relegates the car to too small a part of the image, below 1/3 height.

I wanted to give the impression of where it had been by the flying gravel and hint that it might be going out to the right as it carried on. As a result I didn't see the white kerb as distracting, because I didn't think I needed that rightmost edge.

I'm using FastStone image viewer, because it has a neat crop tool (though too small a dialog) with the option to show 1/3 markers. I find it useful because I can't judge that by eye yet.
I'm trying to put the lower right cross wither on the driver's helmet, or on the flames.
It may be a subtle difference, something that you may not spot by eye, but it could change the feel of the image.

Re: fire in the kitty litter

... so thanks SpeedingSphere, this is what I have now

TRY scrolling up and down to see the two images on their own.
Look away, then look at the image - do you think that the focal point of hte two images is different?
Which one draws your eye to the flame ?

Oh and if you want to know where he came from, and how he got here, then look here: busy weekend

In that edit I put the car even further to the right, I think giving more motion.
Also I included the top of the Bridgestone advert, putting the car mid-frame.
See why I'm so undecided about it?
