That's a different sunrise for sure. You nailed the exposure and placed the sun in a good spot. I think you composed it well. I really like it. I hope no one got hurt in the fire. Thanks for sharing this. Great picture. I am glad to see that Evolt work under such harsh conditions, since I own one.

I am like Barney Fife, I have a gun but Andy makes me keep the bullet in my pocket..
I think you've done well here. The composition works well, and the exposure and placement of the sun was executed nicely, as Greg stated. The smoky air, charred remains and jagged edges of the burned out frames makes an interesting scene, with lots to study and think about.
I kinda had a feeling when there is a fire it's always a loss in some way.My comment about the mood.A mood of devestation, destruction.
A good friend of mine is a Palo Alto fire fighter.
7 years ago...They had an attic explosion while he was upstairs running a hose.As the crew cut into the roof from the outside(smart?) the air rushed in,You know...
He is o.k. but his hair all burned away even with a full mask, helmet.
I respect what you do. T.S.

Terrific photo, can't add to what folks have already said. If I can suggest one picky item, take out the piece of wood coming from lower right toward the center. But, this is minor. Really a nice photo.
I've come back to this again, and although this is not the type of pic that has an immediate wow factor, once you spend the time and study the details you can appreciate it very much. The dark contrast from the lright going into a smokey faded haze on the left. The frozen water in mid drip hanging off the charred embers. The jagged pieces looking like silhouettes of birds perched on a wire. Very good comp, and great exposure.

Reason: UnSticking thread.
Thankyou for the feature, I am honored. I hope I can only improve from here. Here is a quick snapshot of my station I took today after washing some hose. Not a bad looking place for a small hick town. Engine 692 was the truck I was operating the night of the barn fire.
