Good view and exposure of these bright lights in your bustling city. I would have gotten a bit closer and waited more a more interesting "slice of life" to pass by. As is, you've got an excellent shot of this section of the city with not a lot happening with the people below the neon.

Yoyo, your focus, exposure and colors are always so beautiful.

Is this right out of your camera?

I am trying to determine if you great photographers usually use post processing to get it this nice?

(I hope not. I don't think I have that many brain cells nor years left...)

such a grand scene. love the wideness of the angle here. Also the biker looks like he's about to hit a finishing line of some race. nicely captured.

    Hi Charles, Paula, and Liban,
Thanks a lot for sharing your perspective. Paula, the shot was not right out of the camera. I denoised, corrected the perspective distortion and lens distortion in, increased the contrast in, and sharpened the original raw-converted photo. The post-processing usually takes 10 minutes.

    Agree with the others.

What do you use for noise reduction and perspective correction? (I think you mentioned both somewhere before, but I don't remember where...)

yoyo: Thanks for taking the time to answer my question. I was afraid that's what you would say.

I wouldn't mind spending the 10 minutes of pp to obtain the great results you do -- it's the "ten years" I would need to spend learning HOW to do it in 10 minutes that concerns me!!

Once again, your photos are stunning.

    Re: The Finishing Line

    Hi Dray,
I am glad that you asked. The perspective and lens distortion correction is by PTLens from epp: http://epaperpress.com/ptlens/index.html and the noise reduction is by Neat Image: http://www.neatimage.com.
