    Talking Finally!

    One of my younger brothers is a horrible subject... he has it in him but whenever i point the camera his way he goofs off and makes stupid faces. Well I waited for just the right moment and I finally got a good picture of him! Any advice you could give or help or whatever would be greatly appreciated as always

    Before:

    After:

    All that is gold does not glitter,
    Not all those who wander are lost;
    The old that is strong does not wither,
    Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
    From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
    A light from the shadows shall spring;
    Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
    The crownless again shall be king.

    Re: Finally!

    the first one, i don't like how the top of his glasses cut right across his eyes. and my eyes are attraced to his filling.

    the seconds one, although better, and maybe the best you can get with this subject (try carrying your camera around him when not trying to get a picture, and then with a zoom lense one day try to be discreat about it and snap from the hip). I'd like to see his eyes, and top of his head.

    Hi euphoria,,,,the first one just doesn't work for all the reasons dylan mentioned..The second image has some potential except the eyes aren't sharp...The most important thing with portraits is that the eyes MUST be sharp....
    You have a fun subject in your brother so keep shooting him (figuratively speaking of course) and you will get some great portraits..
