    Fighting Fire

These were taken late September in Big Bear, California. There was a large forest fire on Route 18, and a few firefighting helicopters were taking turns sucking water from the lake to fight the fire. The last picture shows the sunset through the fire. I think for the helicopter shots I should have used a slower shutter speed, try to get a full rotor disc... I used 1/1250, which pretty much guarantees frozen rotors... better luck next time! The only editing done on them was sharpening, cropping on the first picture and some minor clonning on the last one.

Nice shots my favourite is the last one and the first one.
You could make a mini documentary on all the action.

I like the rotors frozen. Nice work on these. I think the last one is slightly tilted.
I am like Barney Fife, I have a gun but Andy makes me keep the bullet in my pocket..
