    Fields of Gold

I tried A couple of shots with this subject and just loved the look of the bokeh with the cat tails/grain whatever you wanna call it.

    Re: Fields of Gold

It's good IMHO. But I think there's too much of it. I would crop out about the top 3/8 of the shot. That would elim some of the excess and also what appears to be some distracting pets or something at the top. It would also change the aspect ratio to something unusual, which can add some zest sometimes

Good Idea but you do need to use higher F stops and a Tri-Pod to get up the DOF, as it's to shallow for my liking. Did you the DOF preview on your camera?

I really dig the dof here. I think that this is one of those relatively rare situation where out of focus elements in the very foreground works well.

I fully agree with GB about cropping some of it though. I'd even dare to turn this into a square crop, keeping the foreground as it is but totally loosing the top part.

The colors and textures are really nice.

I like the subject matter and the coloring. The depth of field is too small for my taste. More of the subject needs to be in focus to draw the viewer in.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Maybe a little something like these?
I felt that if I cropped any further the picture looked like it had no depth. I can post one cropped further if you want.
