    Few Critters

Here are a few recent shots for your consideration. Please share your comments and suggestions.

The Red Shouldered Hawak was taken with a Nikon D200 and Sigma 50-500mm lens @ 500mm, ISO 800, I think and f/18 aperture priority, which produced something like 1/1250. The Jack Rabbit was a Nikon D40x and 70-210mm VR lens with a Tamron 1.4x teleconverter, also @ f/8, I think. The Flycatcher the same, and the Magnificent Frigatebird was a Nikon D40x and Tokina 100-300mm lens.

Lava......The Red-Tailed Hawk is the best of the bunch in my opinion. The Frigatebird is good, but a wingtip is clipped.

Great bokeh on the Flycatcher. The Hawk is my favorite of the bunch. Great quality for ISO 800. With the exception of the last picture I like your framing on all these. The complete wing tip and a more friendlier sky would of helped the last one but it's still I nice capture.

i like the flycatcher because of that bokeh. I think the hawk is just too soft. If it were sharper I would like it a lot.

Nice shot of the Hawk, good color saturation. The other images are more subtle but also very good.
