I think chopping the sides and top/bottom is distracting leading ones eyes to a dead end.

I do like the slow shutter giving the motion effect.

About the photo ... lol ... I didn't crop it. I couldn't get any farther way from it since the YoYo fence was right behind me.

I have more that you have seen already and I'm gonna put them in here to see what people think.

i like this shot alot, however i feel that the sides and top need to be shown, understanding there was a physical limit- that just means you need a wider lense :-)


btw where in PA are you from?

Neat shot. Good choice of SS. I can live with the sides and bottom clipped off, and that it might have even been preferrable, but I feel that the top should have had space. I don't know why, but I just think that the it seems to be 'rising' and that it could have had some space at the top to expand out to.

I'm not so sure being cutoff bothers me that much. I like the wonderful colors. But I might have PSed the flair just below the center> easily fixed but more distracting than the crop. You also might layer it to make the colors pop a little more....

yea, wider lense would be much better, but dont feel bad, im the newbie around here too, trying to remember everything from photography class....not going well, pluss, i am soon going to be getting a new camera, this time a manual.

I used a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-N1 it's a fancy point and shoot, no interchangable lenses. I'll get something better when I get the hang of photography.
