How to tell the most experienced shooter in a group? They have the least amount of toys on them.

    Hello Sebastian,

I love the way you blurried the background here. Colors are especially effective too. Which lense was used for that shot? I would also add that your framing is truly artsy.

There is nothing to complain about here.

    Good job

Nice shot, Sebastian - the deep greens are gorgeous in this shot and the composition couldn't be better. The only thing I see is that part of the angel is slightly out of focus. I'd love to see it completely crisp and sharp against those gorgeous greens.

I like this as well. Thought out the composition very nicely. Green bg blurred is good. I would agree with ACArmstrong about the part of the angel out of focus. Perhaps just a stop too wide.

    Thanks everyone!

    The specs: 1/1000, f/1.8, ISO 100, 50mm f/1.8.

Could it be sharper? Definitely. I really, REALLY wanted the background as blurred as possible, if I had the 1.0 it would have been shot wide open...

Thanks for all the input, I see that I am on the right track. I wish I had used a tripod to make the focus point more precise, even with wide open I could have been more careful about the area of focus if I had not been handholding it.

    Take care guys.

just my two cents for what they're worth---I like : the colors and the mood set in this
I don't like: the placement of the little statue...doesn't feel too grounded in the pic...maybe placing it a little more in the shot ...

i love the concept and the again the feel of it--- very peaceful

I agree with aspects of the previous posts. A little too dark (another stop or more exposure?) and also the angel needs to be more of a focal point... but the mood is great!

    Overall, i like the idea...

    Cheers, Stew
