    Feathered Skyline

this is my most interesting picture as voted by my flickr (they base it on views, and favorites and comments) i was just wondering what people here thought. I always enjoyed the picture, but i never thought it was really amazing.

I think the angle here adds to the whole shot. Looks almost like a ticker-tape parade. That sun reflection highlights it. Good capture.

    Hello Fatty23,

Welcome to the critique forum. You do have an interesting picture here. The feathers in the air give this a surreal look which your building angles reinforce. The glare of the building is less charming as it loses the pattern of feathers and distracts from the scene. I'm curious, was this picture taken on the same day as the photo of you in your Avatar? There seems to be feathers in the air in that one as well.

yes, the picture in my avatar is actually shot by a friend photographer who was there. "there" being Unioin Square Park in NYC. Every year there is a huge pillow fight, aka where the feather come from. If you look at my Flickr sets you can see pics from the 2007 and the 2006 pillow fight.

What's the world coming to? Reminds me of Ross Perot's commercial on Arkansas' industry (I guess that didn't get him many votes in Arkansas...)

This is a real neat shot! I'd hate to have to clean up the mess after the pillow fight. It might be a tad dark though, at least in the sky. Not sure you can lighten without blowing out the reflection in the glass, which is perfect.
