I agree with pointbreak, I'd love to see it also close up on the people... Other than that, great shot.

This one doesn't grab me as hard as "home office" but I think it's because of the 'fancier' boat in the background. In spite of that, however, it's a great capture of the family going about its business!

While the photo shows your technical skill and your eye for spotting scenes, this photo is maybe one that should stay in your drawer. It has great potential and in person I'm sure it looked great but the photo is not intimate enough to impact us and not enough removed to give us a sense of their struggle so it comes off as a snapshot. It is a worthy subject just not from your vantage point.

im curious about your subjects... did you ask them if you could take their picture? because i always have these dread that goes through me when i take a picture of someone without their permission. And if you did ask, how did you go about getting such a candid shot?

Yoyo, I'll have to agree with Red on this one. It looks like a scene of much potential, but there is not a great "moment" caught here, and overall, i find the picture to be very busy. Also, the modern boat in the bg takes away from what i want this picture to be. I liked the "small office" shot alot, but this one has not landed the mark for me.

Hi point*break, Yes, a close-up would be better.

Hi Ish, Thanks for sharing your views.

Hi D, Thanks again for your comments.

Hi Red, I really appreciate your frank comments.

Hi Sweet, Good questions. I did not ask them when I took this shot as I was a bit far from them. I would ask my subjects if I am a few feet from them.

Hi Gary, Thanks a lot for telling me what you think about the shot. Really appreciate your thoughts.
