    Farming the wind

Not sure about the fence, but farms have fences, even wind farms. The Lenticular clouds on the left may give some indication as to the strength of the wind.

I think the fence is fine but you might consider cloning the sticks below it. I like the time of day that you took this. I like the angle too.

I like your thoughts about the fence, but I think its a better picture w/o it. Seems to break up the flow and fade of the scene.

    Nice job,

Greg, I think I'm running into trouble here, however the sticks are there, same as when you walk in a situation and there's sticks!. That's life, maybe because I'm a farmer I expect an image to present as it is, I can't 'tart' up the way I observe things when I'm checking out stock, or looking at accounts, I really wish I could. Maybe I'm not into the adjustment of image

    Lang,
While I can respect your inclination not to "tart up" an image, it's been a fact of life since the inception of photography the adjustment have been made to images to enhance their ability to convey a story, or more accurately represent the scene as viewed by the human eye. Film & digital have shortcomings compared to eyes and adjustments help to negate those effects. If you really do want strong statement making images, at some point you are either going to have to revise your view on adjustments or start carrying a shovel with you so you can dig up the sticks and replace them after the shot. Alternatively you can just be content with capturing a collection of snapshots to share w/ family and friends - and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, however if you ask for critique and then flatly refuse to follow any advice given in that critique, you images aren't ever going to improve above just simple snapshots. If that's satisfactory to you, fantastic! I've got no problem at all with it, just won't waste time critiquing your shots.

I think it would be a better shot without the fence, but it is what it is. I do like the shot, though. Good work.

Thanks for commenting people would love to be able to remove fence but don't have PS skills, and not sure if possible to do without wrecking image.

    Re: Farming the wind

I'm in two minds over the fence, I think my problem with it is that it's to close to the bottom of the picture which makes it seem like an after thought when composing. Perhaps a little more room would have made it part of the composition.

Any chance you could re-shoot this from a higher angle to remove the fence?

    Hmm.

This one is sort of a mystery. Looks like several images combined. My final impression says that the fence is a good thing because w/o it it might be a tad mundane. Still, the (what appears to be) fog adds some mystery. Nice sky and clouds. The colors are nice too.
