    Far and Away

Another shot of my daughter at the beach.
Your thoughts, as always, are much appreciated. TIA

    Re: Far and Away

your daughters must get sick of posing for you :-) maybe you should start paying them modeling fees.

i like this one, the luggage and the hand to face searching might be alittle to much though. maybe get rid of the luggage. also is that a ship in the horizon, its just a blurry white dot which is good because it shows distance but maybe make it alittle clearer so i can actually tell its a ship and not a dust speck.

Of the two, I like the previous. But, that is the wonderful thing about art: some really good photographers all looking at the same shot come up with a variety of comments. It means we all keep shooting and sharing.

Wow I like this one a lot better. She's trying to figure out what that is way in the distance just as much as I'm trying to figure it out.

It appears she's not wearing shoes, and her suitcase is kind of old. Is she "waiting for her ship to come in?" Could the ship be her opportunity to start anew?

    Re: Far and Away

Y'know, each one of these I shot yesterday told me a story.
It's nice to know that I have created images that are making some of you think the same way.
    Thank you for your comments.

    Re: Far and Away

Alison,,this image tells a story...Is she waiting for her sailor boy to take her away??The luggage and the dot of the ship adds to the story,,,great additions to this photo..

Only one small point,,,,the horizon isn't quite horizontal..Otherwise,,great image...
