    Family portrait in B & W

Some friends came over the other day and asked me to take a b & w portrait of them. I took a lot of images but this one was close to what I was looking for. Let me know what you think.

Too bad all the people who know how to run this country are busy running taxicabs or cutting hair.

Properly composed, good angle to shoot from. It's a little on the soft side. Was this film and then scanned? I like the B&W.... seems to work for portraiture most of the time.

looks overly sharpened, with too much of a radius. what were your unsharp mask settings?

There does seem to be some artifacts there, like a slight halo.

post the unedited, and let's see what we can do with that!

I only recognize the error in sharpening because I used to do it a lot. lol.

Actually, it does not work very well at all as a black and white, because of the dark colours of their clothes, combined with the dark hair.and the dark shoes that all disappear into the background.
