    The Family

    Hi:

These guys are two local cops. The girl has been my daughter's best frind since they were eight, and now she carries a gun...scary huh?

    Quite a nice portrait.
The hands cut off the man is a bit of a problem and I'd like to see a little more light on the dog the female is holding.
    I like the composition otherwise

I agree with Frog on the hands, cut off hands always seems to hurt the image. Also I wish the girls left arm was completely in the shot. Another thing is the background. The mans head seems to get lost in it. A lighter background would help. With that said now for the good. I think you nailed the lighting with the flash, but I am not a flash expert. The big question. Are the clients happy?

Looks like the flash was a bit too directly perpendicular to the subjects. Id place the lights a little higher. A bit of shine on their faces. Also raising the lights would have helped hit the backdrop, which looks very dark and his head does sort of blend in. Good picture, good posing, good expressions, good angle.
