    Good motion in this one, and good timing with getting it. A bit more sharpness of the leaf and this would be one hell of a shot.
    mostly Nikon gear

    I like the concept of this photo a lot, I can certainly appreciate the difficulty of this kind of shot. I think with a little more clarity and it would be a very cool shot.

    I know. It was a small dot in the total frame. I had to crop the bejezzus out of it.

    Don - Try a continuous AF tracking mode, will take some trial and error, maybe some artificial occurance of leaf falling (i.e. you dropping it instead of the tree).

    Ella - try a diffuser on your flash, or use some different sort of light to have a more illuminated background.
