Thank you, LisaD! It's my favorite of the bunch too although I'm partial to the last picture with the multiple reflections of the fly rod.

The fish hooks on eggs is a nice shot.

Nice stuff! I'm partial to the Trout Burn, but they all are good shots.

Frog, daq ~ Thanks a bunch! And my apologies as I didn't catch the bit at the top about not posting more than 5 photos a day.

Any nit-picks or criticism? I'm going to try to start selling some goodies this year and just recently invested in a D300s so any input that would lead to improvement would be more than welcome. I've also just commenced learning Photoshop CS4 and will eventually learn how to edit photos properly in terms of contrast, brightening and fixing little things that could markedly improve a photograph.

With the d300s, you will be able to control things such as aperture and shutter speed.
I don't know if you Coolpix s4 does that or not.
Taking the last pic as an example. By decreasing your aperture from 3.5,(what it was taken at), to something between f/5.6 and f/8, you could have both the fish and the fly rod in sharp focus. Right now the rod is sharper than the fish and would probably be better if the fish were sharper.
Still a nice bunch of shots and you'll be amazed at how much more control of the little things you'll have with the slr.
    Keep Shooting!

Re: Fall & Winter Fly Fishing Collection

Maybe too many photos in one thread to fully digest Trout Bum, even if they're related.

I like your shots though. I am more drawn to numbers 2, 4, and 6 (from the top) as 2 and 6 have a very clean composition but still have interest, and 4's fog is amazing. Those trout beads seem to glow right out of the screen, so whatever you're doing you're doing it right. # 2 has good scale but the fish's eye must be sharper.

The last one, # 7, is pretty neat too much has too much negative space at the bottom . I tried cropping it and it looks very abstract with about 1/4 taken off the entire image from the bottom. Try it and see.
