    Re: Eyes

I like more pop to the eyes. Maybe sharpening and brightening a little bit. I am new to this forum so can't "play" with the images yet. She has beautiful eyes!

I can't help thinking something is missing. It may be light in the eyes as they are the darkest area s of the image. Love the idea though.

    Re: Eyes

Thanks fellows, I also feel that although it has potential it isn't 100% there. Maybe it's because the eyes are darker than the surroundings - the reverse of the ideal. blsamples, her eyes are actually pretty sharp I think, but they're so dark you just can't tell. But they are glossy, which can make them look soft...

    Re: Eyes

besides technical issues with the light which may or may not work depending on what is communicated I think there is an unclear message

the veil would communicate mystery or in that color maybe sensuality, something in those lines

the eyes wide open communicate surprise, like you shot her somewhere where she is not supposed to be, but then we can not tell because is to close

the messages seem to contradict each other

do you see what I mean?

    Re: Eyes

I do see what you mean Armando, and I agree that it does make for a confusing message. But what's wrong with that?

Fookski, the eyes are definitely in shadow. I've tried to selectively lighting them but it didn't quite look right, so .. I guess it is what it is. The shot still has an odd power in it, I think; it just isn't a barnstormer.

I think you should clone the Velcro or what ever that is. Other than that excellent.

    Re: Eyes

doantrungtk, Greg, Thanks, I modified it a bit more based on your suggestions. Here it is (click on it to see it bigger).

Btw - though no one mentioned it, there's little doubt that we were influenced by the famous picture of the Afghan girl in National Geographic. You can see that image here: File:Sharbat Gula.jpg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Re: Eyes

I would suggest more contrast and emphasize the eyes more. Maybe crop the image? More saturated colors on the eyes? Maybe play around with blur to bring the focus to the eyes?
