    Trog,

I like how the angle and single eye gives the swan attitude, like “Its Mr. Swan to you”. It is a different from the typical bird image. Good one.

    Regards,

yes it has "attitude".. seen full screen on my 20 inch widesceen monitor it looked even more confrontational.. i was gonna title it "beak to beak".. but downsized it looks different..

i cheat a bit with swan pics.. i have a little boat and they have a taste for bourbons.. i get photo opportunities one wouldnt normally get.. needless to say i have lots of swan pics.. he he

they come and tap on the back of the boat for a biscuit when they are in the vicinity..

I have never seen a swan with that colouring before. We tend to see either totally white swans or totally black ones.

I like the image Trog, it is an unusual shot of a heavily photographed subject, interesting tones, slight shame that the tail feathers have been cropped out but as the focus is on the head this is not so critical. Looks like you have got a friend there!

    Thanks for sharing

just lately they have been used as lens test "victims".. this one was testing out a sigma 70-300 this afternoon.. bit of a shame part of his beak is missing but they never stay still even for a second.. the head and neck are constantly on the move..

nearly there but not quite.. he he

its the close up face to face factor that makes them interesting.. least to me it is..
