    The colors are nice in this picture, as is DoF and light. However, the composition doesn't work well. The baby directly in the middle of the photograph gives the picture a lot of dead space, and the kid in the back left gives the photography a lot of weight on that side and distracts me from the subject itself.

    And of course, cute baby!

    I think the blur in the eyes makes for an itriguing portrait. i agree with F-15 flyer about the comp, but i do not necessarily feel it is off balance. It actually could get over as it is. The one thing that seems to bother me in this picture is the corner of the desk at the right coming into the neck of the subject. Other than that, I feel the subject stands out strong enough to carry this over, even if it is too centered.
