    Re: Exploration

By the looks of this opening, that was one large robot that blasted through, run for your lives!!
I like that openeing alot. It is very dramatic with it's bent metal edges, warped and twisted and lit/exposed just well enough to get the feel of it.It might have been a bit more interesting with something like a persons silhouette standing in the light in the background, but still a interesting image.

The play of light in this one makes it stand out. Your post processing to take that light to more subtle levels enhances the layering present. Nice work.

Wow! I liked this a lot. Although it took my eyes a second to realize the opening extended up a bit to that bent metal part of the wall. Was this done in color or b&w? it looks kind of like a bit of color is coming through at the back of the room.

    Seb,

This is intriguing - I see the face of a frightened robot peering around the corner trying to see if its safe to come out.

The lighting on this is perfect showing just enough detail and the light lighting up the pillar is excellent.

    Re: Exploration

Seb the actual opening is class .
But I feel the metal of the opening needs a little lift in levels or curves or something just to give it a more metallic look. Inside is full of the unknown and I like that.

    Thanks guys,

Gary: I tried to avoid having people in my way all the time. When I come back to these pictures, I realize that this was a great mistake in most cases. The very few pictures featuring people turns out to be my favorites.

Tuna: I am glad to hear this coming from you considering your significant expertise on the topic. Actually, there wasn't much done in Photoshop itself but I "prepared" my raw file quite a lot in Camera Raw...

Echoback: This is a color shot but I partially desaturated it to get the effect. Thanks for asking!

Roger: I haven't made any link on purpose betwen the two pictures but I get your point. Interesting... lol

Tom: Thanks for the suggestion. I may try to rework it some more.

    regards

    Seb
