Expedition - Colour or Black & White?

Need your help. Do you prefer this in colour or black & white?

Also, all comments and critiques are appreciated.

Oh, and there's a ton of PP in this ;). not telling where!

Color. I like the flag on the back. If the boat looked more vintage maybe B&W.

Color. If there were more storm clouds in the distant sky, BW may have worked better. The grain in the image seems excessive to me.

If there is more detail to be had in the clouds, I would go to b/w.

    Beautiful image, Liban. Love it.
I would go color here because there is a better separation of boat and water as opposed to the b&w. the colors are appealing, and look somewhat vintage anyway.

I'm guessing you added the clouds in the sky. . .just a hunch.
    Everything looks great,

btw, I just F' up here and voted b&w, when i meant to hit color. So, take one away from b&w and add one to color

OK I'll buck popular opinion and go B&W
The color gives too many clues that this is a modern image, the B&W gives a more timeless feel.

    As is, color.

    The b&w could be better.

The clouds do look like they were added after-the-fact.

B&W, the noise in the colour version looks a bit out of place, not so much so in the B&W.

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

I'll go B&W here. Has a better feel for me. The sea color cast is off and too close to that of the sky. In B&W you have some nice contrasts and soft black dolphin, and much better seperation between sea and sky.

Re: Expedition - Colour or Black & White?

Thanks for all the feedback guys. Looks like color is the winner. Though the poll says other wise all the people commenting are leaning towards colour, except that one trouble maker guy ;-)

Gary, nah, that's not it. The skies are pretty much how they were. Oh and on the vote, not only you, most people here are saying color but B&W is winning the poll hands down. lol.

Pete, yeah, I took the shot of the dolphin just a few minutes earlier and in the same water.

    Thanks again!
