    The expat life

Taken through glass earlier this morning in downtown Bangkok, I wanted to get more of the surrounding area into the shot as the contrast is pretty extreme but 12 floors up in my hotel, if I reduced the focal length any more then the figures would be lost, I went down a couple of levels but my subjects had retreated inside...

Although the image is a little on the soft side, due to shooting through a window, the scene is interesting and framed nicely. I like the house in the upper corner of the frame, and the clearing of the yard with the persons sitting, on the opposite corner. there is good contrast and size relationships here.

I understand your dilemma here. I too feel that an even wider angle would have been nice... but yeah it probably would have shrunken the people too much. UNLESS of course, you increased the size of the image (which is a PR no-no).

Anyways, great greens. A little on the soft side, so might want to tune up the sharpness a bit. I like the house but wish its roof was a little more elegant. But I guess they dont go around criticizing my roof.....................
