    I think I can see why you like it, but like most (all?) of my landscape shots, it seems like there is something missing to hold the viewer's attention.

    Interesting (to me). It's typical shot of a rural area outside the cities and towns... seems like I've seen a lot of these when out hiking. Is this recent? Looks like winter or late fall, as there are no leaves on the trees.

    The curve of the water adds something here. This photo might look good with a spot color. I made a clumsy attempt for fun. what do you think?

    The two main subjects of interest here are the far left tree with white bark and the little tree with two branches extending over the creek like a person's arms. Cropping out most of the right side of the image will focus our attention to these two 'keepers of the creek.' The black and white works better than the added color. In fact if the sky and creek were darkened and the white bark was lightened there would be a much stronger story.

    I like the effect of the extreme contrast and this has a sketched sort of look. Good composition. I agree that a little more attention needs to be directed at those trees on the left
